Highway Department
The Fairfield Highway Department consists of four full-time and two part-time staff members. They are responsible for the maintenance of our transportation infrastructure system including over 100 miles of both asphalt and gravel roads and upwards of 400 culverts.
The Highway Department's Salt and Sand Shed was built in 2018.
Fairfield's capacity to fix and manage our roads includes a highly skilled road crew, up-to-date equipment, support from our neighbors, and contracted help as needed.
